Weekend!

This weekend was rather crazy. I'll start with Saturday. Went to meet Sakthis, my secondary school senior, for some photography session. I needed to shoot some photos for my modules and needed his camera. Since he was going for a photo session with his friend, to shoot fireworks, I joined them.

We met at Serangoon, had lunch, then made our way to Marina Bay Sands, because I wanted to shoot the Helix Bridge and the Merlion. Went to meet Cass to help her with makeup before we started shooting. Took several shots of the Helix Bridge, then we headed off to the Merlion area.

Let me just take a brief moment to talk about how much I love the Merlion. I LOVE THE MERLION. I'm not exactly sure why either, but it looks like some weird monster to me and I find it cute.

Anyway, we headed to Clarke Quay after that for some MORE shots. I'm crazy, because we walked there. I bumped into kumiko there, which was a huge surprise. We had dinner together, some shots of her dollfie, and went back to MBS area for the fireworks shots. It turned out really pretty!!

And I took this for JRunway's contest on Instagram. My ootd www

Sakthis told me I look like those "quote girls" on tumblr. Like those where they put quotes on their photos. WHAT.

After that, we went back to MBS, met the rest of his friends, and headed back to Clarke Quay for some shots. Super long and tiring day, but it was really fun and I managed to take all the shots I wanted, so... daijoubu w

Today, I went shopping with Ayumi. We planned for Bugis and walked around. Had lunch at Bugis Junction, then went to Bugis+ for shopping since there wasn't much in Bugis Junction. Oh, but we found this precious baby in Bugis Junction!

It's a Singapore limited One Piece Chopper phone strap! With the Merlion!! If you read my previous post, you'd have known that I LOVE the Merlion. I bought this without second thoughts. Wanted to get one for Tomo but.. I'm not sure if they have it in Japan. I know, I said Singapore limited. But I was in Tokyo and they had Osaka limited Chopper phone keychains =_=

We always go into Uniqlo. Our favourite shop XD I've been eyeing one of the flannel tops for quite some time, but it was too overpriced (in a sense that it's not worth what you're paying), and didn't buy it. Walked to the section today and, WAH-LAH. Special limited offer. THANK YOU, GOD.

THIS. Flannel top. I'm so in love with it. The colour, the print, the cutting, everything is perfect! It's $19.90 now so it's quite worth it, I guess.

Then we went to get a drink, but the cashier was really rude. I told him my order and he just stared at me and finally replied with a "yes?" WHAT THE ACTUAL. I repeated my order to him, and passed him the money. He had the nerve to snatch it from me. SNATCH. Have you no manners? You should be god damn fired! Rude people everywhere. Tch.

After that, we went to Bugis Street to try to find some tops and shorts. I bought a pair of shorts but Ayumi only managed to find a plain tank top. Sigh, so difficult to find clothes that we like and suit us. I happened to find this!

KONPEITO!!!! MY FAVOURITE!!!! It's just lumps of sugar, but it's a type of sweet in Japan that dates back to a really long time ago. After that, we went to Art Friend to get my project stuff and left Bugis.

We went to City Hall to try our luck with some shops and managed to get her a buttoned top for school w Then went to Starbucks, then HMV, Muji, and headed back home.

It's been a really long day, but I enjoyed myself today. It's been a long time since I went shopping like that and I missed hanging with secondary school friends. Friend, in this case. LOL.

I should start on my project now. Sayou~!

Shopping + Back to School

Last Thursday, I went back to my secondary school with Ayumi. But we had lunch before that at Plaza Singapura since it's on the way back, and we went to walk around for a bit. Went to JRunway to see if I was able to loot anything. I always go in with high expectations, like "I'mma go in there and buy something today!!" but come out disappointed. This time, though, was different! (Thankfully)

I finally managed to find something I liked!! And it was on 20% off. When I was paying, the cashier asked if I was a member and since I wasn't, I signed up. When lady luck shines on you, you get a good day indeed. Additional 10% off for members. Who doesn't love discounts, right? Got this top + tank at $28.80!

Went back to school to disturb the teachers and I have to say, I miss secondary school. Even though I've been through many shit in secondary school, I really really miss sec 4. I wasn't your average "nice girl" in school. People even say I'm "an ah lian" or "tomboy". Time flies, huh? (laugh)

I specially went to disturb my Geography, Drama, Chinese, Literature and POA teachers. It was super fun!! Well, fun for me. Super dramatic. Wanted to look for my English teachers but they left early that day =_= Luck, huh. But I managed to disturb them so I'm content.

When I went to disturb my POA teacher, this epic conversation happened:
Me: OMG HAAAAAAAI MADAM SOO!!! DID YOU MISS MEEEEEE?

Her: Oh, what are you doing back here?

Me: No lah, come back disturb you all lor~ www

Her: Aiyo, you ah. Wah! What happened to your hair?

Me: *dramatic crying sobs* I... I... I cancer...

Her: *speechless*
HAHAHA I love disturbing her because she's such a troll. She trolled me so many times after that xDD She's probably one of the teachers I miss most.

Oh, and we chose a Thursday to go back because there's Drama trainings on Thursdays. Went to find all my juniors and I'm surprised they remember me!! Those that I'm not THAT close to, remembers me too! I never knew I'm so memorable (laugh).

Went for dinner out with my parents after that. The day went better than I expected :D

Photoshoot!

Had a photoshoot on Saturday. Thanks to my awesome photographer, Jie'R <3 Need to thank her for helping me out with it, but feel so sorry to trouble her orz Here are some of the photos. I picked a few of the better ones :) It's actually photos for my blog header (laugh).

The places will look familiar if you go to City Hall area often enough. It's taken at CHIJMES and Raffles Hotel. I thought the places were really good for photoshoots, so we went ahead and had it there.

Because who can forget the spiral staircase when they go to Chijmes, right? I've longed to take a photo with the spiral staircase since a few years back. I finally got mine! :D

I look so awkward here, but that was the whole point of it (laugh). #awkqwerdmonkey4lyf hahaha!! This one's my favourite in the whole shoot, even though I really like all of it.

The fountain area was super nice! Really great for taking portrait photos.

Photog Jie'r's personal favourite. She shot this really well! It wasn't easy to get the staircase away.

I thought this was quite funny. Look like those kind of photos on blogshops where people are trying to sell the clothes. But it's nice... or well, at least to me :D

Trying to get a shot of the hairband. Bought this when I went shopping with Gera the other day. Was quite glad I got it because it matches my hair colour so perfectly! Super pretty!

A candid shot which turned out nice. The wind effect was purely coincidental but.. heh.

I thought this was another awkward shot but it seems okay here.. (laugh).

Another shot at Chijmes. One of the nicer shots. And by that, I mean one which I didn't smile awkwardly.

I have this awkward smile and I look really tired in most photos. Maybe because I am, cos I didn't get much sleep haha. But I have almost the same smile in all the photos.. ._.;;

Went a little shopping with Cass after the photoshoot. Had to get hair dye and bleach because I had to help her dye her hair. Went home after that and I totally ditched work. Yay ^w^ Well, that's all for the photoshoot photos I guess. Ciao~

Turquoise AGAIN?

So I didn't get much sleep yesterday. About 3 hours maybe? Why? Because I was recolouring my hair. Yes, again. I just re-dyed my hair a while ago.. here. But it faded to this really... mossy, disgusting, seaweed-green colour. It was terrible. This was before I dyed it again:

It looks really hideous. ~_~

So I went to re-dye it again! With the same hair dye - Manic Panic Atomic Turquoise - as last time. There's a difference this time: I bleached my hair. I didn't bleach it last time because of various reasons, but this time I decided that the colour is not going to come out because of the green-ish base, so I bleached it using GATSBY ex-hi colour.

(not my picture. from here.)

I didn't take a picture of the bleach because when I remembered, I already used the stuff (LOL). Anyway, I bleached it twice because the green didn't fully come out the first round. What's good about this is that even before I finished putting bleach in the first round, the parts of my hair that used to be red, already started showing. (You can see the photos here.) Which means, it's really awesome!

The only issue I had was that because I bleached my hair without assistance from others, the hair touched my neck and the bleach made my skin a little irritated. Other than that, I thought it was quite effective. If I'm not wrong, I needed 2 boxes of it, but I only had 1 so the colour didn't really come out fully.

After 1st round of bleaching:

The colour is more or less bleached out. The red was really difficult to get rid of, though! My friend told me red, green and blue is the hardest to get rid of. ... And I had to choose those to dye my hair with. ORZ

After 2nd round of bleaching:

It reached a more golden colour at the bottom part of the hair. The top part is still reddish ): But after the second round, it turned out more like slightly faded hot pink. Oh well, the blue will definitely cover it anyway.

And after I dyed it:

It looks like Tarou's hair colour now (laugh). This is the colour that I wanted since the beginning when I dyed my hair. LOL. Said I'll get the same hair colour as him. 青コンビだからwww

The true colour:

SHO PURRRRTEHHHHH! And the red is not visible :D I'm so in love with this colour right now. Left the hair dye on "overnight" (technically, only 5 hours, including 3 hours of sleep).

Overall, the Manic Panic hair dye was really easy to use and the colour comes out really well, provided you bleach it to a golden/silver colour. And the bleach was.. erm... it was relatively easy to use, but I like how strong the bleach is, to get the colours out of my hair quite well.

#TGIF! (or not?)

Well, it's already Sunday anyway (laughs). Friday has been... I wouldn't say good, but better than I had expected. Finally, submissions are over. And my prototype succeeded!! It stayed midair for 12.8 seconds when I dropped it 3 levels down and the quill egg didn't crack! I'm really amazed because I didn't try out my final prototype before the submission.

I already gave up on it anyway. And the last time I tried the previous one, the prototype flipped and the egg cracked. Which was quite depressing but I couldn't care anymore. I only completed it because of Muz. I'm quite glad my and his efforts didn't go to a waste.

And that is my class, throwing our prototypes. Good job everyone!

Also, my accessories on Friday! Because it's all my favourites and I can't. I just have to post it.

After everything, I went for movies with a big group of friends. Well, anything more than 4 is a big group to me (laugh). Went for Despicable Me 2 and it was hilarious! One of the most satisfying movies I've watched so far. Then again, I'm not a movie person. But if you can make a person (who's not a movie person) say that the movie is satisfying, your job is a job well done, sir!

And spent the whole Saturday sleeping. Even though I slept for so long, it's not enough to catch up on the sleep I lost for the whole week. Only going to start work tomorrow. Oh well, wish me luck then.

I shall end here for today. Sayou~!

A little update, A little rant

Hi! I'm back after so many days. Finally, right? It's been really difficult to update because I've just been staying back in school to rush assignments and stuff so there's nothing much to update either. I'll try my best to update, but I don't want to update really boring stuff because then, there'd be no point in blogging, right?

Anyway, I finally did my presentation on Vitruvius yesterday. My teacher was subconsciously stressing my partner and I though! Last week, he saw a "preview" of our slides and the script. I'm really anal about slideshows. I can't stand seeing wordy slides because not only will I not read it, I want to listen to what the presenter wants to say and if the slides are too wordy, I can't listen and read at the same time. I'm sorry, but my brain just can't handle this, you know. So I kept it really short and simple, and I used some photos in replacement of the words. Erik (my tutor) said it was good and he was looking forward to it.

So this week Wednesday, before we started the presentation, he told the class this *exact quote*: "Their presentation is going to be good. I've seen their preview and it seems like it's going to be quite well done!" Erik, more stress? Thanks. But we went ahead with it and it went quite well. Really glad though.

On Thursday, I was supposed to go for General Education class but I skipped. HAHA. I went to school earlier to touch up on my Oral Communication presentation. YES, 2 presentations in 2 days. I swear, my lecturers are all out to kill us. Anyway, this one's for my CA so I was slightly more serious about it. I didn't even wrote much on the slides. Like I said, I'm quite anal about presentation slides. I feel that it is just a visual aid and that presenters should not rely fully on the slides. So I had mostly pictures and arrows/circles to mark out the points that I talk about. I thought I did quite well, though.

After that, I stayed back in school till 10pm (!!!) to finish up my work because I have submission the next day. It is so tiring! I don't want to bother about it anymore so I don't really care if I fail. I gave up long ago but my tutor, Muz, was super nice! He told me not to give up and stuff. Also, on the consultation day, the school printer spoiled so I wasn't able to print the consultation log sheet. But he was super nice and told me that I could email him and he'll meet me to sign the log sheet for me. (Because we need at least 4 log sheets and the tutors have to sign it to prove that you have consulted them). He's so nice! I'd feel bad for letting him down so I did the prototype.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow because everyone will go crazy after the submission. And I'll be going to watch Despicable Me 2 after lessons!! Can't wait! xD

Here comes the interesting part of the week. Something happened that pissed me off on Tuesday. Well, it was funny too but it pissed me off pretty badly.
There's this girl in my class whom, I confess, aren't really fond of. She irritated me a few times before this incident and I don't really talk to her. Background information is that not many people in the class likes her either because she does the most irritating things a student/friend can ever do. Anyway, back to the story, she forgot my name so she asked the girl sitting beside me, "Hey, Nimita. I'm sorry but, what's her name again?" And she points to me. My friend immediately gave her the 'bitch-are-you-serious' face. Okay, in the first place, my real name isn't hard to remember at all. It's so easy that you probably could've remembered it the moment you hear it because it either sounds super act cute, or weird to you. Even my friend didn't know how to react to the girl! So my friend whispered to the girl my name and the girl asked me if I could help her unplug her wires, since it's directly underneath my table.
As for the following, I shan't say. Hint is, I'm not a nice person. Also, if you don't know someone's name, that's when you know you shouldn't ask them for a favour.

Moving on, a little funny story (rant) that happened to me on Wednesday.
So I was doing work with my friends in the studio, but my friends had to go for a meeting and I was left alone with a male stranger in the studio. He was also a freshie, doing his own submissions at one side of the studio. Seems like an ordinary day right? Sure, it is. Here comes the problem: I had to go to the toilet really urgently. (Take note, the door is spoiled so it started to lock at 2pm when it should've start locking itself only at 6pm.) At this point of time, I was thinking: who's going to take care of the stuff? Who's going to open the door for me? So I looked at that guy and he was just doing his submission. And I thought to myself: this guy's here so I guess I can leave since someone'd open the door for me. After that, I left the room. Until here, it seems fine, right?
This is the part where it gets frustrating/funny.
When I came back to the studio, the door was locked and NOBODY was inside. Appalled, I wondered where that guy was. All my stuff were inside the studio and I only had my phone with me. I was so frustrated at that point of time. I went to the studio next door (the 2 studios are connected), and praise the Lord, someone was inside and opened the door for me.
The most ridiculous part comes:
When that guy came back from.. Well, wherever he went, he knocked on the door, expecting me to open the god damned door for him.
Mister, in case you didn't realize, your stupidity could've locked us BOTH out for good. What if there wasn't anyone in the studio next door right? Not to mention, the stuff there consist of at least 10 people's belongings, including laptops, submissions and whatnot. Thank you, Mister Smartypants! I can't believe the amount of atrociousness in this. Seriously, what is wrong with him?? He's been sitting there for the past 3 hours and never went anywhere! Didn't even move from his seat! The moment I stepped out, HE STEPS OUT. MR, U TINK U KYUTE?! =_= Some people, I'll never understand.

I guess that's the end of the rant. I know it's quite a ridiculous thing to rant about, but hey, I have all my valuables inside the studio. And it's not as if he didn't leave his stuff inside the studio. I'll update again if there's anything interesting. Most probably tomorrow since I'll be going for a movie~ Have been catching quite a few movies lately. I want to watch White House Down and Pacific Rim!! If only I can find someone to go with ): #foreveralone.

Oh, btw, here's my OOTD! I don't usually do this, but it's rare for me to wear skirt or leopard prints so here:

Pardon my messy hair cos it's been a REALLY, REALLY long day. I've been wearing this top for my OC presentations since.. week 1. HAHAHA. It just matches with the skirt, okay! I don't like to wear skirts unless I feel like dressing up on that day, but for presentations, I have no choice. Well, I prefer skirts to long pants because long pants make me feel like my legs can't breathe and move about properly. (I like to wear stockings though. The irony hah.) It's a rare occasion indeed.

I shall end here today, then! Au revoir~

Recent updates

So I got the "few" photos from Aska. Apparently, he only posted 2. There was plenty more, I'm sure. Oh well, I'll just post whatever I have here. He posted it on Instagram so it's in square LOL.

Pedobear!! I'm a classic jailbait ;D Oh, and I didn't take a photo of my OOTD, but you can see it here. Though I think I looks like... Okay, never mind. Not a good thing anyway.

With Neko-chan and my make for the day. Tried out a more oneegyaru mixed with ageha look on that day. Quite easy so... I might be making a tutorial on it. But I'll try out and make it clearer whether it's oneegyaru or ageha make before I make a tutorial. Not everyone prefers mixed looks anyway. Also, no one's watching my tutorial anyway. LOL. Sometimes I wonder why I even try.

I stupidly slept on my industrial piercing the other day (I didn't know because it didn't hurt), and it bled like crazy in the morning. I was cleaning it with sea salt and it bled for 30 minutes straight, the moment I woke up. Kind of freaked me out a bit cos I'm really worried about new piercings. Especially when it's not supposed to bleed a lot, but I slept on it. My bad. But after cleanings with sea salt, my industrial doesn't hurt anymore, even though it stills hurts a little when you touch it.

My helix piercing is giving me problems. It has been swelling so much the past few days and it was eating my starter stud, which is not supposed to happen because it can lead to infection. I changed it this morning and it hurt. Bearable pain but it hurts. A kind of stinging, raw flesh pain. After I changed the earring, it feels way better though!

What is unbearable is the starter stud. It is way too short, even for lobe piercings! Whoever invented this either didn't think of the design properly, or he/she is a superhero, because his/her ears wouldn't swell after piercing. Seriously, did you honestly think that your ears wouldn't swell and eat the earring? Can't you make it a little longer?

The worst part is, because it's the starter earring, it's super difficult to pull out the stud. I understand that it's because you don't want the earring to drop out easily, but at least make the backing longer so it wouldn't be THAT difficult to pull out, right? Sigh.

Frustrating things aside, I scheduled with Gera to go for retail therapy on Thursday. Hopefully it comes soon! I should just go back to focusing on lessons because I'm in lesson now (laugh). Sayou~

Cosfest Day 1

On the brighter side of the day, yesterday was cosfest!

(If you didn't know yet, I actually made a post a while ago today. It is here, about my industrial piercing.)

This is going to be a short post on cosfest because of what I experienced during the industrial piercing.

So Debbie was worried about me and walked with me around cosfest. Went to meet Min, Lydia and Nana. On the way, I met several people I know. I only took 2 pictures yesterday..

With Nao. Super funny! XD Our conversation was literally like that:
"YO!"
"Hey!"
"Sup?!"
"Sup!"
"Haven't seen you in a long time!"
"YEAH BABY!"
"YEAH!"
"Oh yeah!"
"UH HUH!"

It's hilarious! I don't even know how we communicate like that! (laugh)

With devon (left) and nana (right). Nana's cosplay was freaking awesome!! And I finally took out my spects for the day because it kind of hits the industrial.

I have a few more photos with Aska but he haven't uploaded it yet so.. I'll post it here when I get it :) Debbie and I just walked around and we sat down to talk for a bit before we left for dinner. Had dinner back at White Sands' Pepper Lunch, then went back because I felt really tired.

Even after having meals, my blood sugar level was still quite low. Felt dizzy and tired the whole day. I slept on the train and missed my stop. Thank god it was just 1 stop and there was another bus I can take back home. Wanted to buy some sweets back but I was too tired to, even though there's a convenience store at my block. Yeah, can tell how tired I was, right? Maybe I'll go get it later when the sun isn't so bright.

Didn't go for cosfest today because I have work to do but staying at home isn't helping. I'm so lazy!! I can't concentrate when the weather is so warm and I need sweets. It's 32 degree C now. I should probably end here. Got so much work to do (@_@) Ciao~

Industrial/Scaffold & ... FAINTING??

I'm back from this short break. Have been slacking off school work for the whole week now because of.. Well, a lot of things happened. Anyway, if you've read this blog post, you'd have known that I was going to get another piercing. I got an industrial/scaffold piercing. This post will basically be on the whole experience.

And yes, the experience is worth a whole blog post.

If I said that my first helix was the worst piercing experience ever, I was dead wrong. My industrial was such a bad experience that I almost thought that I'd die. Not joking.

I went to meet Debbie in the afternoon after I prepared for cosfest and everything, but I didn't have the time to eat. (Take note of this because it's the main reason why it was a bad experience.) Debbie was late but I waited since it was just a little. We met at around 2.15pm? And headed to the piercing shop together, because she wanted to change her barbell to a longer one. (She got her industrial last Friday.)

When I was there, another girl came in and I recognized her. She was from the same primary school as me LOL. Back to the story, everything was going well right? So the lady helped me pierce and the pain was INSANE. Scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most painful, the pain level easily reaches a 7.5 to 8/10! Compared to lobe and helix, lobe was a 1/10; first helix was a 1/10, second helix was a 3/10 at most 4/10. The industrial hurt so bad! Debbie said hers was only painful when they pierced the first one, but she didn't feel the second one. I FELT BOTH. Because after the first one, it was already painful and the second one was the killer.

And the lady dropped the stud when she was screwing the barbell on. So I had to hold there for another like.. 20 seconds? It was damn terrible. I've never felt so much pain before. For the previous piercings, it was really like chicken feed uh. Totally painless. Well, maybe not totally painless because the second helix was quite painful.

This is the part where it gets interesting. After I finished piercing, I felt dizzy. I thought I could hold it but no. The lady was holding my shoulder and patting my back, and Debbie was holding my right shoulder. I felt totally WEAK TO THE BONE. But I could still think. So I stretched my arm out and held the shelf in front of me so I wouldn't fall, and I can get some stability, and I have no idea why, this whole story played in my mind. It was kind of like a dream? I couldn't remember what it was about but anyway, it was a long story. The lady pat me on the back again and asked if I was alright and I "awoke" from my "dream". I asked Debbie it I conked out for long, she said "maybe around 10 seconds but that's all". How did a whole story form in that 10 seconds, I have no idea.

Then, they helped me to the floor and I sat down. The lady was super nice and gave me water, put some medicated oil on my philtrum and my temples. Felt way better after sitting down. Think my blood  sugar level was low or something. Can't believe I fainted from a piercing =_= Main reason was because I didn't eat. Heck, how important is eating, right? WRONG. It's so important that it prevents you from fainting because of the sudden extreme pain.

Now, back to the beginning of the story, remember that girl from my primary school? She was there for an industrial too. She was actually afraid that she will feel the same as me (and faint), but the lady reassured her that if she ate lunch, it'd be fine. So she went ahead and got it. She was perfectly fine, though! Why? Because she wasn't as dumb as me to skip meals. I skipped 2 meals by the way. Breakfast and lunch. So can you imagine how low my blood sugar level is?

I got this from Wikipedia:
"Glucose levels are usually lowest in the morning, before the first meal of the day (termed "the fasting level"), and rise after meals for an hour or two"
See? And because I skipped 2 meals, it's really low.

Also from Wikipedia:
"Symptoms may include lethargy, impaired mental functioning; irritability; shaking, twitching, weakness in arm and leg muscles; pale complexion; sweating; paranoid or aggressive mentality and loss of consciousness."
I was feeling really tired the whole day, felt weak, weakness in arm and leg muscles, and I fainted. Enough symptoms? Yup, definitely enough.

After the piercing, we went to have lunch. By the time we ate, it was already 3pm. I was actually in the piercing shop for a while because I was stupid enough to not eat. Well, I was already late by 1.5 hours and I don't wanna be even more late. Besides, I didn't even know it was possible to faint just because I didn't eat. Proves how smart I am, huh.

I honestly thought I was going to die when I was losing consciousness. Now I understand why people say that when you die, your life story flashes before you. The only thing that I could think of before I fainted was this - I haven't married K yet. I can't die now.

Smart, right? Thinking of someone who I've only met once, and talked to for 30 seconds at a time like that. I doubt he even remembers me. Sometimes I really wonder what I'm doing with my life.

The industrial hurt so much for the whole day yesterday and I really freaked out. I can't even believe it until now. It swelled a bit but I couldn't wear my spects ): I immediately iced it when I reached home yesterday. The swelling went down enough for me to wear my spects and it doesn't hurt anymore but it's a bit bruised... and obviously, it still hurt if it touches something. My hair got caught this morning but thank god, I was careful with it and didn't pull it or anything.

Just hope that the new piercings heal soon. Woke up this morning with my second helix sore and hurting like crazy. I iced both piercings a bit before I went to sleep yesterday and seemed fine. I think maybe I slept on my second helix by accident. Sigh. Oh well.

But the industrial is going to take at least 6 months to heal. Only yesterday did I find out that helix piercings take about 6 - 12 months to fully heal. My first helix piercing healed in at most 2 weeks. What. I couldn't even feel any pain on the second day and I've had it for 8 months now and it hasn't given me any problem since day 2. And not to mention that it was done with a gun, which is not the correct way that you should pierce your cartilage. I also read that it takes a week before the swelling goes down and the second week onwards should be fine. I wonder what happened to my first helix then...

My industrial still looks a bit bruised but it should be fine soon. I think there's dried blood o_O

Note to self: Get sea salt.

Monstrous Nails!

Ossu! I had a philosophy lecture on Aristotle today. I actually like Aristotle more than Plato. He makes more sense to me. Well, they both kind of make sense but I feel that Aristotle is more "right". Well, I learned a lot today after my HTI lecture and seminar. I really, really like philosophy. I think I should've taken philosophy instead of design. Sigh.

Even though I have a lot of work to do, I ditched it today to do my nails. I'm so happy!! It's so pretty! The green and blue monster even has 3D eyes! Super, super cute!

Right? Super cute!! And the price was okay, like it was affordable (for a student like me). I found out about Shining Nails from Kelly and if you read her blog, it's the same one as she did. I had and have no intention of getting the same one as her. I wanted an Alice in Wonderland themed, but I didn't really like the ones that Shining Nails had. When I told Shining that, she asked me to show her pictures of the ones that I like, so that she can do it for me. Me, being the usual lazy me, didn't save the picture =_= So I just did this because this is one of the few that I liked.

However, I felt really bad for being late though! I was supposed to reach at 3.30pm (we made an appointment), but I reached at 4pm and she had something on so she had to leave at 5pm. Since she was doing my nails, she finished at about 5.15pm? I mean, it's not much of a difference but I still felt bad about it ): Didn't expect the train ride to Yishun to be so long. Which is why I hate red line train, because I can run faster than the train's speed. ~_~;;

Even though she didn't really have time, she did a really good job! I'm really glad too. She was patient and didn't rush through the procedures. I have a lot of cuticles and dead skin that needs to be cleaned off. She spent quite some time on it (even though she didn't have much time), and did a really good job! Even the tiny details, she made it really nicely. I'm honestly very sorry for being late now T_T

Anyway, Nimita went with me and I thought Shining would be free to do nails for both of us, but she had to leave at 5pm so Nimita didn't get to do her nails ); I seriously felt damn bad about it. I made her go all the way there with me, but she didn't get her nails done T_T I feel like a burden now orz She said it was fine but she's really nice... And I feel bad about it TAT

After that, we went to AMK Hub's mac to do a bit of work and left. Didn't do much though... I was just doodling. I can't believe I ditched work for the whole day today HAHA. I think I relaxed too much, so I'm going to work till slightly later today. Most probably going to school looking like a zombie tomorrow again, just like every other day. Oh well, what's new, right?

Honestly can't wait till this weekend for cosfest! So excited! Even though I might not be going on day 2, I'm really looking forward to Saturday's! Hope it doesn't turn out really crappy. These few years, I've witnessed a lot of cosplayers who can do better. Way better. I won't be cosplaying, but it's a day where I can finally dress up without being judged by others and be #gayforaday. wwww

That's all for today. Need to go blog in my japanese blog. I try to post something interesting there everyday, but everyday is a boring day for design students. Hah. Sayou~

Helix + shin jouhou

Hello, hello! Today has been a really, really boring day like yesterday. It's so boring, I'm not even joking. Sometimes, I hate GC because the part where they teach you how to use Illustrator and Photoshop is really dry. But I actually enjoy the parts where we do our work and the tutors are just there for consultation. Today was, unfortunately, fourth lesson for Photoshop skills. I was so bored that I actually looked like a zombie in class. And I was wide awake when I went to school! Wow, right?

Anyway, yesterday, Debbie told me that she's meeting her friend today to get her ears pierced. By the way, she just got an industrial/scaffold piercing - whichever you like to call it - last Friday. It's really cool and really suits her! I'm so envious!! I wanted to get an industrial since last last year, but I got into a quarrel with my mom when I wanted to get the second lobe piercing on my left ear, so what makes me think that she'll allow industrial right? So I gave up trying to ask her.

Besides, I got the second lobe piercing even though she wasn't very happy about it.. though only on the left ear. I got a helix on the right and when I asked my mother, she was quite calm about it and just said "Go uh". I was quite shocked but... Permission :D

So I went with Debbie today to get my second helix piercing on my right ear. Super happy about it!! I'm thinking of where to get piercing next already. I want the industrial on my left ear but my ear is so small that the third lobe piercing is already the mid point of my ear. yup, small ears. LOL.

I requested for needle piercing instead of gun piercing because you're not supposed to use gun piercing for your cartilage area? Gun piercing is only used for lobe. It's specially made for the lobe, and not anywhere else. It HURT. I'm not even joking. Even though my first helix piercing was a gun piercing (because at that time, I didn't know you weren't supposed to use gun for helix), it hurt lesser than the needle. I could actually feel the needle passing through. It wasn't so bad I guess? Though the helix piercing hurts lesser than my lobe piercing but I'm not sure why.

Also, the needle one is in a way safer than the gun. Gun piercings create a smaller earhole, which I also didn't know. Until I tried to change my earring that time. Gosh, I couldn't get it in. And when I could, it was only halfway through. I could neither get it in nor out. At that point of time, it honestly freaked me out so badly, I almost cried. Thank god Bunny was with me and she helped me push the earring through. It was so bad, that it swelled for 2 weeks straight and my whole ear (plus a small area behind) was red for that 2 weeks. Worst piercing experience ever. I guess it's because I kind of "expanded" the earhole, and you can't expand your helix piercing like how you do to a lobe piercing because of your soft bone. Honestly, it hurt. I'm not even sure why I went back for another helix piercing. (laugh)

So here's a photo of it:

I'm going back to Pasir Ris this weekend so I'll pass by the shop again. Hopefully, by then, I'd have decided. I don't want to travel to Pasir Ris again just to get a piercing. I just went today because I had time anyway. I live in central area so it's really quite troublesome to get there.

Oh, and speaking of which, I'm going to Pasir Ris this weekend for Cosfest!! Super excited and looking forward to it! I'm going on Saturday, but I'm not sure about Sunday... I might have work to do and if I can't finish it, I might not be able to go ): Since Pasir Ris is really far for me.

I'm also quite shocked that I know 3-4 people working for the TokiDoki Cafe this year. All cosplayers, but I'm more acquinted to only 1 of them. I don't actually know them that well, but I'm still shocked. Considering the fact that I wanted to join Moe Moe Kyun maid cafe this year... I'm starting to think that I'm not good enough for it. (laugh) I was too late though. The auditions were already closed. I guess it's better that way too. I have 1 more year to get better at my makeup, and also work on my studies. Since school just started for a while, I'm not sure if I can take the work load. Anyway, it's most likely that I'm going to join the maid cafe next year. I sincerely want to join MMK! Hopefully, I'll pass the auditions and they accept me next year.

Oh, I'm utterly excited for tomorrow!! I'll be doing my nails at Shining Nails tomorrow with Nimita. Can't wait to get pretty nails! First piercing, next nails. Hee! And I'm looking forward to tomorrow because there's HTI. I LOVE HTI lectures. My lecturer is so good that that 1 hour feels like 10 mins. It's also really interesting to me, to learn about philosophy. Which is why I thought that I'm in the wrong course ;;

Also, I know that I repost a lot of pictures here. I've posted the photos on instagram but I post it here again anyway. I just thought that it's nicer to have photos on blog posts, instead of a long chain of words, which I'm pretty sure not many people read on my blog. So, to make it more interesting, here's 2 photos I took for my gyaru makeup tutorial (in case no one watched it, but not like anyone's reading this anyway).

It kind of looks more like onee gyaru to me though HAHA! I think I failed, huh.

I guess it looked more gyaru here? (bitter laugh)

So, I guess I'll just be ending here today. I always end with a long blog post when I don't plan to write that much... ;; sayou~
