Starting off with a quote today. It's from Man of Steel... or at least that's what I remember. The quote, I mean. I don't remember the actual quote but I thought it was meaningful.
This morning, I stepped out of my house to this wonderful sight.
Oh, please. Sense my sarcasm. This is the kind of weather that greets me in the morning? No, thank you. It's a rare thing for me to wake up in the morning during holidays, and I get? This. The Lord is testing me.
And I began my really long day. Went back to school to meet Bernice for our presentation preparation. We had a lot of time (and still have) but we just wanted to get it over and done with, pronto. So we started today. We spent about 4 hours on the slides alone. It was terrible! I thought I was able to get it done in, at most, 3 hours, but apparently not... It would've been easy, but the topic was on Vitruvius' Ten Books of architecture, and we were supposed to describe and explain how the measurement of human body affects the proportion of buildings. Seems easy? Seems.
It is way more complicated than that, because there are all sorts of things to write about. - The chin to the summit of your forehead is 1/10 of your height; Chin to crown of your head is 1/8; Middle of your breast to the crown of your head is 1/4; The foot is 1/6 of both your arms stretched sideways; etc. I was totally convinced that the Lord is testing me by now.
After that, I had to rush to Plaza Singapura to watch Now You See Me with Jax and Nimi. We were late by about 5 mins because of me and, trust, I feel really horrible about it. Not only because we missed the front, but also because we had to get to our seats, right? We troubled 2 other people because we had to get in. Gah.
It was a relatively good movie. I wasn't really surprised by the magic tricks though. Maybe because I'm a HUGE fan of magic tricks, I thought most of the tricks were quite expected. Overall, an undoubtedly well-planned, well-thought storyline though. I love it when the storyline is fantastic. For a person who doesn't watch movie often, I'd say that the visual graphics were really cool.
Anyway, after the movie, Jax and I went for dinner together while Nimi had to rush home. It has been a lot of rushing and sweating and the haze made everything worse, not to mention that I'm still not done with the presentation, but I really enjoyed myself today. I'm usually home during holidays but this time has been rather eventful. Really appreciate the people who asked me out.
Will be having a BBQ outing with my schoolmates tomorrow. Looking forward to having fun eating. I offered to help buy the food but... starting to regret it now because I have to wake up super early. (Well, for me, it is early. LOL) Well, no pain, no gain, right? Ending off the post with another seruka. HEE. Such a camwhore xD
Okay, so maybe one more, cos I'm such a camwhore xDD
One more, OOTD!
One of the tops I got from Uniqlo when I was in Japan (the one I was talking about in my previous post). Simple and casual today because it's a long day and, I reiterate, THE HAZE. The PSI is 155 now. Hope it doesn't go any higher anymore because it's been gradually increasing since this morning.
Sayou~
