Hi!
Oh gosh, I haven't written a blog post in English in so long that it feels completely weird doing so. That aside, it feels awkward for a first post so.. I'm just going to give a short introduction I guess?
I've been blogging in Japanese (you can find the link in the linkage tab, as JBlog) for a good 3 years now. This blog is just going to be an English version (with blog posts which are much longer due to obvious reasons) of it. I don't really have a motive. I just felt that since English is my first language, I can express myself better compared to Japanese.
So here goes.
I went out with one of my closest friends, Bunny, yesterday. We didn't have a plan; I just asked her out because I haven't seen her in a long time and I wanted to catch up with her. Anyway, we had lunch at the Marina Square PizzaHut, and headed to Starbucks afterwards. Didn't plan to go shopping but we were getting bored just sitting around, so we went to walk around. In the end, we each bought a top from New Look. Mad love it!!
Love the cutting!! And the design was, I'd say, easy to match with.
It's actually really hard for me to find clothes I like because it's either the cutting I don't like, or the style I don't like, or the design/print that I don't like, or the price is a no-love for me. As long as there is a small detail that I don't like about the clothes, I wouldn't buy it. Also, if it's cute but not something I'd wear, I wouldn't buy it. I guess that's what they call 'practical', huh? (bitter laugh)
Another thing about me choosing clothes is that I don't wear tops with human faces on it, because I think it's simply... what's the word... Weird?
It might sound like a good thing because I know exactly what I want, but I can guarantee, it's not. It was the same when I went to Japan (for the first time!) recently. I wasn't able to find clothes I like, even after walking Harajuku and Shibuya for so many times! It was terrible. (cry) I resorted to buying clothes at Uniqlo in the end. (;__:) I didn't want to buy clothes that I could find in Singapore, but oh well... It was super cheap so I guess it's fine. I bought 2 cropped tops from Uniqlo at 990 yen each, when it's SGD$24.90 in Singapore! I bought 2 of it at the price of 1 in Singapore. Mad cheap, or what?
There was also the other time where I walked Harajuku, Shibuya and Ikebukuro, only to find 1 top that I really liked. Here's the one:
Bought it at ANAP for 1544 yen. That's half the original price, by the way. And in case you're wondering, the cross part is made of lace, so I had to wear another tank top inside. But it's so cute! Yes, I like clothes that can match with anything at all, which explains why it's difficult for me to find something I like.
It's 1:06am and I should be sleeping because I am meeting my friend to prepare our presentation tomorrow. After that, I'll be catching a movie with 2 other friends. I'm excited because I've been wanting to watch Now You See Me for quite some time already, but didn't have the time to.
Speaking of which, I just went for a movie with a group of friends the other day. We caught Superman: Man of Steel and it was, trust, AWESOME. The visual graphics were just awesome! It's really not an easy task to do such stuff and I can't believe they made the movie so well!! (Not to mention the lead actor looks HOT. But I still think he look better before he shaved. He looks well with the rugged look. And also, he's too buff for my liking. Overall though, HOT.)
Can't wait for tomorrow. Super excited! I'll be ending off this blog post with a picture of myself. (Because I am such a camwhore when I have make up on :D)
Goodnight, people!
